i got your pm after I posted but it looks like there is ridging on the fingers (from the pic anyways) but you say no? Also they look pretty deep in the pic

Ok, how do you get the nut off? The manual says "de-spike". Is the end of the nut "smashed" on there?

Are you refering to what looks like marks on the basket fingers? I think that is just oil marks from the fibers. I'll have to check again to be sure though.

yeah thats what I was talking about.....when you put the clutch nut on you take a punch to it and "stake" the top threads
