experimenting with shock relo 300ex and ltz400 shocks

300ex looks like the correct angle, waiting on 400ex shocks.

pics with ltz400 on both, then 300ex on left ltz400 on right. The difference from bottom of lower a-arm is 1 1/14 inch.. Looks bad or not right to me.

Also the king nut from the old 300ex just seems to spin the a-arm spindle when I put it on...

I have decided to go with ltz400 fronts. they measure 17 1/2 as opposed to 17 1/4 for the 400ex. It was just me with the angle.

How are the shocks working out for ya, did you get it all back together yet?

I decieded to go with the 300ex shocks and sell the ltz shocks... Then go woiith 450r fronts (16 1/2).


I am having issues now with the a-arm's. The castle nut spins the bolt that attaches the arm to the spindles. Have no clue what to do.. I went with 12mm oem castle nuts.

Figured out why spinning. Need pressure on the ball joint so it "locks" into place. This is why you have to bang it out in the first place... kind of "locked in"

yupp. they're a tapered fit so once you get it in there, it aids in helping it stay in there haha

also, kept the ltz shocks... adjusted the prelod a bit down and now looks sweet. who knows how it rides.. I cant get the thing started until the new harness comes in.
