My full yoshi system just showed up to the house, cant wait to get it put on and have the carb jetted and see how it sounds and runs. any tips, tricks, for installing this pipe? appears to be a pretty good fit, from what i could tell, i was kinda disappointed after spending all that money, they dont even give the exhaust flange gasket, so i have to go buy one of those before i can install it.

Just pull the radiator it makes it alot easier to get the stock header off. You don't have to drain it just remove the mounting bolts that hold it to the frame and slide it down. It will help alot.

LOL ,i used a hacksaw on mine , i figured i was never going to put the stock header back on so why be worried about it .:)

there is also some hp to be gained in changing out the stock intake boot .the fit will not be as good as the stocker but if you want power there are some sacrifices that will have to be made .

use blue locktite on the bolts that hold the silencer on. I've seen lots of different pipes fall off on the race track. install the whole system loosely and then start tightening it from the head and work your way back. When my dvx only had a full exhaust on it, man that was a long time ago, I ran the jetting with a 150 main, stock pilot, 1 1/8 fuel screw, and middle clip position on a dyno jet needle. This was for 2000-2500 elevation and dry climate with only the air box lid removed. Ran VERY crisp, no lean or rich spots.
Hope this helps.
