My friend has one with i think 33's or 35's with a 6 inch lift. The power is good except when your climbing up big rocks and theres no low RPM crawling....you hit the gas and pray for the best

I've had Jeeps all my life , NEVER will I own a 4cyl again. Inline 6 4.0l is the best motor in my opinion.
For tire size , I would Not go any bigger than 31's on a 4cyl and a max gearing of 4:10/4:11 . I have shattered too many parts with large tires and the stock 3:73 gearing. If you have no plans of it being a highway vehicle , I say 4:56 is the best. If you plan on light highway 4:10/4:11 is great. If you are commuting with a Jeep , get rid of it and buy a tiny Toyota.
The biggest problem with Jeeps are
a: driveline angles
b: Crappy axles (dana 30 and 35 C clips)
c: Lifts done wrong

just my 2c after having crawling streetgoing Jeeps for many years. Its fun to drive to the trail , meet up with the trailer Queens and wheel with them , then just drive home.

my dads friend has one and he uses it to plow his drive way. but after driving his 4 then our 6 it was a night and day difference. plus the 4.0 motors are bullet proof or 95 grand cherokee had the 4.0 and we sold it with 192,000miles on it. just saw guy who bought it and said he has yet to touch engine or tranny its not got 203,000miles on it. if you plan to go offroading then the 4.0 with a manual will be great(autos are junk)
