Can some of you guys who ride a XP 850 Sportsman give some comments on this ATV. Is it good for the GNCC or just to heavy?

Thanks

I bought one back in October. Have not raced it yet but I will be racing it in the Texas XC Series (ATVCCS). I have ridden it very hard on trails practicing for XC and it handles awsome, the weight is not an issue with 70HP!!!

Hello, I think that the 850 isntĀ“to heavy to win any championchips.

In the end you have to find it out by yourself :D .

We did a little "german" video on our testriding. The ATV is stock, no EPS, gas tank is half full and from the tires we cut some parts of the pattern off (see two pictures). Tire pressure was 0.2 bar that's around 2.9 psi.

Likes
1.) powerfull engine but your`re still in control

2.) Suspension in medium speeds

3.) 4x4

4.) powersteering not really necessary, if you have it that's a nice feature

Dislikes
1.) Front end could be lighter (we took the rack away that's 7 lbs, you feel lighter handling

2.) Tires still looses a lot of engine power by spinning

3.) No skid plates under the a-arms, outch!

4.) for racing two seperate brakes (front and rear) would be much better

5.) front suspension is a little bulky

6.) suspension front and rear not enough negative suspension travel (should be gone with pro suspension)

@Pixel

... because of traction reasons. The outcome wasn't so good as expected. But still better than the original.

The beast is in preperation. Our XP 850 model arrived with EPS. Now we put it on a fast diet - 25 lbs is the target. As far as it looks like Big Horns 2.0 will be mounted. On Tuesday 17th of Febr Fasst Flexx and a second Handbrake on the handlebar will be the first changes.

Here you will see in the next days the things we change on the XP.
