yfz450 vs ds450

ok guys there is a forum in the can am segment and those guys are getting on my nerves. there is one guy that says he has beat a full modded yfz with a big bore kit, pipe, and everything with a stock bike and others seem to agree. they are annoying me has anyone truely ran against one of these bikes. i have only raced one on a motocross track and i got the holeshot on him and several others passed him on yfz's. i mean dont get me wrong they are cool looking and good running bikes i just truely find it hard to believe that they run that good stock. does anybody own both of them and can give a true opinion unbias toward either bike

There was a full modded one my last atva race of the year i got a stocker yfz and he got a pretty good start first moto and ended up killing the quad, i got by him as he was getting it going. He passed me in the woops and i tried to see how my stock one compared to his quad following his lines and pushing myself we passed 3-4 people in a few laps. I was pretty impressed with the new can-am. For my next quad im still thinking suzuki though.

When it comes to motocross, its way more rider than it is machine. I'm sure Pat Brown could take a stock YFZ and put it on a C class rider on a decked out DS450. All the 450s are fast, and I don't see why people have to go and say theirs is the fastest, because theres always someone faster. Each of the 450s is going to shine in some areas, and lack in others. If you have the one thats right for you, I don't see why it matters if some guy with a Can-Am thinks his is faster. Just let him keep telling himself that.

Oh, and I'm not saying its a bad idea to get opinions from someone who can equally compare and be unbiased.

yea i agree with you and i dont think they understand either if a quad is modded and decked out for mx a stocker with stock gearing and tires might beat it top end but wont beat it off the bottom. i mean my buddies stock yfz will beat mine top end because of my mx gearing i dont need top end speed i cant use it. i dont think some people understand just what a tire size can make in speed difference. i just find it hard to believe any 450 can beat another 450 of any brand that is has a modded engine but the same gearing and tires i dont see it happening.

stock for stock i like the can am . it turn on a dime .. suspencion its the best .. also rider fatige on yamaha .. i think that can am its motor not too powerful but its reliable .. its also the rider i can beat any body on the hollister track on any 450

yea but yamaha will be too heavy vs ds cause F. E. but it will be really close. i race on my yfz vs a new 09 sx ktm. and its not as good as they said. one thing is for sure japs are simple cheap.
