i have a 06 ex. i jus bought on an auction a hmf full exhaust with dynojet jet kit off a 2005. so heres the problem. i looked online at dynojet, they offer a kit for the ex 2001-2005, then theres a break in the year, then the next kit they offer is 2006-2008. the dyno jet kit for the 01-05 is different then 06-08 model. so. whats up? i didnt think the carbs were different? so i cant use this kit which came off an o5 for an o6? thanx for any help

i just bought one from bike bandit, the only difference beteen the 2 is the older one has more tips in it. but doesn't have the fuel screw tool. looking for one now.

if you go onto dynojet and look at the instructions(pdf) for both you will see the contents.

any idea where to get this tool or if you even need one?

yes, you can use the old kit talked to dynojet today, they said it would.

they also told me that you will need a speical tool, the tip will be shaped like a "D" for "2007"

dynojet sells them, and there is also a tool called a scott T handle that you can leave in place for quick adjustments. you can see it on HMF's website.

believe that all of the 2007 models need to tool for the mixture screw. You can look at the mixture screw and if it has a D shape head you will need the tool.
