2006 90cc a/c
Remote tube fell off on dustiest ride of the yr. Compression is now 100psi and will only idle and flood out. What should compression be anyway?

Where can I locate all the specs for a new topend kit? Piston clearance, ring gap, etc? Wiesco or oem piston kit?

Now would be a good time to bump the compresson.
I would like to find someone here I can order all my parts and machine work from.

I am actually surprised it will run at all with that compression. Should be in the 145ish range. You can run up to 180ish fairly reliable results.

No suggestions as to where to send my jug for a bore?

The 06' a/c 90 had about 120 -125 lbs compression when new, and should still run with 100 lbs but be a little hard to start, I think your carb injested some dirt and willl be due for some cleaning . A new ring and hone should do the job , unless you have some deep scratches in the cyl walls in which case you can purchase a new a/c cylinder for almost as cheap as a bore and oversize piston.

Thanks for the replies.
The carb was clean when i pulled it i did however blast it all out throughly several times. Float level is 18.5mm
I did get it to idle barely but floods out bad. I will pull the jug and take a look see.

I agree with Mark I usually see 120-130psi. We bore cylinders here I have a Van Norman boring machine, we chanfer the ports and fine ball hone for a good finish and to make sure their are no sharp endges. I usually have all mini quad pistons in stock and gaskets as well. You can click on banner for info

an autopsy has found a piece of something holding one of the reed pedals open. It appears to be a cable end?
Its a small copper piece with solder on one end?
This would explain the flooding and 100psi compression?
The piston and rings look good but there is some nasty carbon buildup and the needle bearings fell apart in my hand when I pulled it from the rod!

The piece caught in the reeds is a tiny plug they install in some of the passages of the carb.
I was unaware carbs had metal plugs in them!

I'm not aware of any either?
