As promised I snapped a few pics of the new style 450r heel gaurds installed on a 250r..There pretty simple to do..

to mount the left side a small tab was welded to the rear frame and a second hole ws drilled in the mounting bracket of the heel gaurd..

for the right side all that was need is a short drop down braket from the rear frame down to the heel gaurd bracket..We used flat stock of aluminium, but steel could also be used..With the 90 mod we tried to save as much weight as possible where ever we could..

any other questions feel free to ask away..

Thats nice. Great job man! Looks clean. I have some 2004-2005 Honda 450R Nerfs W/Heal guards on my other 250R.

I was wondering the same thing, but it kinda looks like a CR80 engine? Could be wrong though

a cr80 is correct...Eric Ghor ported cylinder and all the other goodies you can do to them..Its my nephews ride..at 13 he's limited on cc's due to age..Next season we wanted to put a crf150 in it but theres very few kids in that class here..So it wouldnt be any fun for him with no competition..So were gonna strip the quad down, store the frame and swap over everything to a 250x..bore it to a 288cc,port the head, cam and put a 35mm fcr on it..Run that for 2 years and when he hits 16 break out the 250r frame or in the mean time find a leagers or lonestar frame and swap in a 250crf or 450..wichever we figure out on hp to weight ratio is better..

hes comming in right behind JB fisher minis and cobras..They have it in there favor with weight right now..there about 75lbs lighter..maybe more..
