250x motor or 300x ?????

sons moving up to the 300 class next year. looking to see who builds the fastest motors? is the 250x better then the 300x

250x is faster because of the shorter stroke. 300 is torquier because of the longer stroke.

thats what we came up with sort stroke big bore. just like the crf250r motors.

the only issue is, u can only get a 14:1 piston in 297 cc's which is only 282 on a 250x if i remember correctly

something leads me to think you're talking about the 09 250x rather than the 87-91 250x

if that's the case, GO WITH THE 300X lol. the 09 250x is the same thing as the 250ex (a.k.a. junk)

no its the 91. talked to tc today we can expect about 30hp.should be fun.
