View Full Version : Changing front brakes to disk brakes

I have a 2007 Apex with the big heavy brakes on the front. What have you guys found works best to change these to disk brakes?

We have converted them with all 400ex parts. Can be bought used on here or ebay for under $200.

do they just bolt up or do you have to change the ball joints too?

you will need new ball joints and have to drill the spindles and move the tie rods closer to the spindle pivot point. It requires a little work but is still the cheapest way to go. IMO

Don't have one here but one of our riders is using this setup with the DC Long travel. I'll get some pics of it this week.
