If you are looking to step up the difficulty factor from Hatfield and have more play areas and hillclimbs, this is the place.
Highly recommend parking at the Putney Trailhead. There is a campground that charges $5 to park your whole rig. Riding is free but it is $5 for a map (this is how they fund it).
You will be sharing the place with 4X4 vehicles and occasionally get caught behind a few of them. For the most part, they are doing some serious boulder climbing.
Closest town to map to is Harlan, KY. Well there is a trailhead in Evart, KY too but you have to ride several miles of blacktop to get into the trails. It is cool that you can ride into town to eat, get gas, etc.
I've been to all the Hatfield trailheads multiple times, Burning Rock, Paragon, Carolina Adventure World. When it comes to the trails, nothing beats this place.
