I was wondering if anyone on here has a helmet camera or knows some good info about some. I've been to www.helmetcamera.com and they seem to have to best deal I've seen so far, $260 but the camera seems indestructible (they ran it over with a truck) and its fairly small (compared to the large sized camcorder we taped to my helmet) Does anyone know about these products and how good is the quality?

yeah i know you need to hook it up to a camcorder but thats not a prob for me

I did a search but only found info about one site

Cool, that would be cool to make a video from the quad/bike and watch it after.

Kit contains camera, mount, cables, microphone and battery pack.click on this link to see what it looks like http://www.helmet-cam.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=100

Package two includes Same great adjustable mount, cables, microphone and battery pack, but with the bonus of a High Resolution Color Camera! 480 Lines of resolution to be exact. Colors don't run from this camera! http://www.helmet-cam.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=369

Hey Juggs how do you secure the camera down and keep it from bouncing around??

Juggalo
12-13-2002, 04:29 PM
do you mean the helmet cam or the camcorder? the camcorder just goes in the back and i suppose it does bounce around but no harm done that i know of. the helmet cam goes on the helmet with some really sticky velcro

2003TRX250EX you have to remember that a dirt bike is alot lighter than a four wheeler, has alot more suspension travel, and has more tuneable suspension so he could be runnin stock on it. Those are some *****in pics u got there man! I gota get me a helmet cam now! Later...

i was actually planning on jumping it but we did some planning before i went for it and it turns out, as it is its pretty much impossible to land it on a quad. the landing is over to the left too much of the takeoff. if i jumped it i would land half on the landing and half off the side and that definately wouldn't be good. we'll probably change it some this summer and i'll go for her.

u can also check out www.sportzshot.com I think thats the site. They seem to have a pretty good kit to. Its $10 cheaper then the helmetcam setup, but i dont think it has as good of a warranty
