My buddy has the GYTR exhaust that came off of his Raptor 700, the day he got it from the dealer he put on a new pipe. I was wondering if his exhaust would fit my 05 YFZ?

no probably not, just have him bring it over and see if the mounts line up though.

So really it just depends on the mounts?
because i can make new mounts, that wouldn't be a problem.
Is there anything else that would make me not able to use this pipe?

you would have a better chance of getting a 250r exhaust pipe to work than you would a raptor 700

Not to sound like a dumbass or anything, but why won't it work?

the header pipe and the slip-on have to be able to fit together...say for example your yfz header has the circumference of a dime, and the raptor silencer's pipe has the circumference of a quarter, or vice versa, they're not going to fit together and work.

an exhaust has to fit together very snug and then be tightened down to where it wont leak at all for it to work properly...usually this is only attainable by buying parts for YOUR quad, or machining other parts to fit...

like i said, i've never tried to put a raptor silencer on a yfz so im not gonna tell you it wont work cause im not sure....my guess however would be no.

have your friend do some measuring of the pipe for you then and compare it to yours

the YFZ has one large header pipe ... the raptor has 2 smaller header pipes...

i dont know why but i was under the impression that he was speaking just in terms of the slip-on....

haha if your trying to use the entire exhaust then yea like 250r4life said, it wont work at all, not even close ;)
