when I took my tank off I noticed a white plastic piece that covers the motor under the tank....what does it do just keep heat away from the tank or what? is it needed becuase I would like to remove it !!???!?!?!

I've only looked at my buddy's 400 a couple of times, but I thought that white plastic was the intake tube for the air box. Maybe I'm wrong, but thats what I thought it was.

Are you talkin about the Clear Tube that goes into the airbox or are you talkin about the plastic under the gas tank?

Your probaly right, like I said I've only looked at my buddy's a couple of times, so I geuss I shouldn't even of say anything. My bad.
