NEW at Burgard cycle are nerf bars. We are making them for The TRX450R, LTR450R, YFZ450R, KFX450R, Z400, 400EX and the 250R. The race nerf bars are a pro-peg design. The pro peg mounts are chomoly and the nerf bars are aluminum. The foot peg is removable and replaceable. For the nets we have them also that they can strap onto the frame. you have a color option for thenets of silver, blue, red or black. The nerf bars come texture black as in the picture. Also they come with a heal guard option. The heal guards are made of chromoly. They bolt directly to the foot pegs and instead of bolting to the subframe the heal guards have a channel that rests around the subframe for better support. They also have a tab for the fender mounts. If you break one heal guard or nerf bar you don't have to buy a new set you can get just the piece you broke. prices are as follow

race nerf bars 250.00 includes 2 pro-peg mounts 2 nerf bars 2 foot pegs 2 nets and all needed mounting hardware. http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp242/burgardrep/CIMG3098.jpg

race nerf bars with heal guards are 350.00 including the same parts as the race nerf bars + 2 heal guards.

We also have the sport nerf bars that bolt ot your stock pegs they'll run you 150.00

I love these nerfs! The fact you can buy individual pieces if you break something, and the price outshines competitors! The only thing is they are not on your website and I was wondering how to go about buying a set.

To be honest with you these pegs are pretty big the nerfs in the picture are for an LTR and the heal guards are huge for that quad so it makes the pegs look small. I 'll get you exact demensions of the peg next week.

I'm interested in a set of race peg nerfs for a '86 trx250r in aluminum finish, is this possible?

Yes we build them for that bike. The finish would not be aluminum it would be a powdercoat finish that appears aluminum or we could do chrome powdercoat like the Nerfs above that have the blue nets. Let me know if that would work or if you have any other questions.

Are the LTR nerfs narrow enough to run XC? The quad is getting narrowed for next year.

Thanks

They are 300.00 for the pegs, nerfs and heal guards and 100.00 for just the nerfs that use your stock peg and heal guard. The prices are at the begining of this post. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

I just wanted to say that the Burgard nerfs are the first pair of nerfs that I had that everything bolted right up and lined right up exactly, with no need of bending or anything! Also they have the best design in both looks and quality/durability with how the heel guards mount up as well. These nerfs are deffinately worth the money if any of you are looking for very nice, high quality nerf bars!! I will post pictures once I have my graphics on in a few days.

They are 49 inches. We built these on the bike because I was getting antsy to ride therefore the others will prob be not as wide for the guys who aren't running motocross setups.

Do the pro pegs require the mounts to be welded to the frame or do they bolt on? I am new to the pro peg thing. I really want a set of these but dont want to ruin my powder on my frame by welding.

burgard rep
04-14-2010, 07:14 AM
No they will not bolt up to the IMS pegs.

And No there is no welding to your frame, so your powdercoat will still look great. Thanks.

don't remember - 2 weeks maybe. The rebuild was buying an mx setup & waiting for those parts. wheels & tires, motowoz shocks all a round, houser front end 2.25 MGC & brake lines & shorty clucth lever & mx link. wider rear axle.

Then we were riding in april & the motor blew. I bought a used 07 & moved my mx stuff to that one - the dude only had a few rides on it. like I said - come on friday

My kids has pro armor & he doesn't like them - the welds crack

I was on the verge of ordering but ended up buying a set of Lews WIDE pegs that are now in production (check on the 250R board)

With that being said the Burgard set up IS the best bang for the buck. You get the heel guards, nerf bars and wide pegs at a very good price.

Give Izzy a call...he might have some pics of them installed ona 250R
