well i took my top end apart tonight, it was puffing blue smoke so i thought, piston and rings, well i get it all a[part and they look immaculate, the rings are perfect and the piston is barely burnt

now the question is my valves are disgusting, could that be my problem? they are covered in crap and look very bad

thanks!

You cant always see if something is worn out. Its only a few thousandths of and inch between new and worn out. I say hone it and get some new rings and replace the valve seals and you will be good to go. Or it would be a nice time to upgrade to higher compression and a little bigger cam.
