Got any idea what year or what is the most popular year to throw on a R?

Any numbers# stamped on the side of the valve. I think a
CR250 has a 02B on it and a 250R has a 04A. When you order replacement reeds for a 250R valve the 04A you have to
know if you have the RR or the RL valve. The RL valve is stamped w/part # and the RR valve is not stamped. This is what I was told when I ordered replacement reeds for my 250R from NACS a few years back. The guy said you have to know if it is a RR or RL. They say the 98 CR250 is the one to use . Thats what I got on mine. does a good job.

I use a 86-98 cr250r rad valve, I preffer the fiber glass reeds, the carbon fiber wear kinda quick .

I agree with deathman. I had carbon fiber when I first got mine. Seems like they didnt last no time. I got the fiberglass after that.

The cage has a 02b stamped into it, so you think a set of reeds for a 98 cr250 will do the job. Thanks fellas.

that would appear to be an old style rad valve for a CR. what did the replacements look like you bought? got a picture of them?
