i just got the outlaw 450 trying 2 get it ready 4 motocross and can find a cam for it dose any one know were i can get one

i looked at hot cams they only list for a 400,520 and 525 were do i find the ktm cam

The 450 is an RFS motor like Bill said. The 525 motor is the same as the 450 just a different jug and piston. I know of one mx builder that puts the 8/06 cam in the 450 for MX. The 8/33 is good for XC I hear. Both these cams will work in your outlaw 450mxr.

i know very little about the cam is the one out of the dirtbike better then the one hot cams has and dose it matter the year that the cam is for as long as it is a rfs engine and were do i find the ktm cam

An RFS motor is an RFS motor no matter if it is in a bike, the KTM quad, or the Polaris Outlaw. The only difference is the lobes and durations. here is a link to predatorowners wiki file for the cams.

Call Frank Bastita at B&B Motors. He does all the Rath/Polaris motors. He has a few different cams. 559-707-4235

He did the motorwork on my KTM this year and I've had no problems at all. He's a great guy to deal with and he knows his stuff.

What all did he do? You running stock 11:1 or higher?

I'm using a custom Wiseco 14.5:1 piston, B&B custom grind cam, B&B porting, FMF 4.1 full system, Sparks bored 43mm carb. I race TT mostly so thats why I have the higher comp. He's going to do more porting and go to a different cam/valves for next season.
