Hey guys, a friend of mine just bought a left over 07, can you remove the spark arrestor similar to the 450r to get a little more sound? It does not look like it comes out easily at first glance...

you can cut the baffle off the end cap but it does absolutely nothing but make it sound like rear becuase the exhuast is chambered. If you want any gain you need to cut holes in the inner chambers of the exhuast. and congratulations you are the 1 millionth person to ask this question:D try this sometime ->http://www.atvriders.tv/images/usercp/search.gif

if you look on ebay you can get a performance end cap for 40.00 very east to install it just bolts in and it has a screen for a spark arester . i did one on mine and it sounds great , you can grind down the header welds for more performance !

OK, I will tell him to leave it alone or buy a slip on, from the few responses, looks like from experience this makes a nasty noise...thanks guys.

Thats such a massive waste of money.

For another $40, you can find a used slip-on.

They rip you off. Cutting the spark arrestor out doesn't help preformance because of the chamber design of the muffler.. and it sounds like a baby farting under water.

And not to be rude.. you got ripped off. You can cut it out by yourself easily.

Your beating them because of rider skill.. not that end cap.

There is NO way to get more power with just a tip. The design of the muffler doesnt work that way.

If your happy with it, great. But that doesnt mean it added power.

It's all in your head. Being louder makes your mind think your going faster. It's actually not.

I have to agree with DMC on this. I tested it out as a science project.
