Okay, so i picked up some simple green to see if it was as good as people say it is. I bought a 1 gallon jug of it, and filled up a spray bottle with it. Well, i wanted to see what it could do, so i sprayed some on my old pipe that went on my 250ex before i sold it, the pipe was very muddy so it seemed like the ultimate target. I sprayed some on the pipe and let it sit for about a minute, then i slid my foot across the pipe, and it took the mud right off, only problem is that it took the paint off with it! Now im afraid to put it on my 400ex for obvious reasons. Should i have mixed water in with the bottle? Or was it just that the pipe was painted poorly? :scary:

Well, i didnt lose anything of value, but tomorrow im going to try it on a big gun slip on for a 500 rubicon, and then ill see if it was just that the 250 pipe was bad from sitting outside for 3 years...lol:chinese:

My buddy has sprayed it on his 400ex mixed 2:1 and left it for 24 hours before. It didn't do anything except clean the quad. I use it on my cannondale all the time and with all those rubber hoses I was a little worried at first. I haven't had any trouble with it. Go for it! the paint on the pipe must have been coming off anyway.

How harsh can it be? It safe for the environment.

I always use Simplegreen unmixed to clean the quad. After it is pretty clean I use some Mr. Clean and it really gives the plastics a good shine. May want to give that a try, but the Simplegreen unmixed has never caused me any issues.

He meant that he uses it because it's not harsh.

I've been using simple green for a long time. Usually mix it at 2:1 and always great results. It definitely smells great too!
