Did honda ever make the oil tank out of steel instead of aluminum? I am looking for a steel one.

just out of curiousity whats the attraction to steel......the aluiminum does a better job of keeping the oil cool...

Well my dad wants to use the oil tank to make a gas tank for his mini bike because he likes the design. He bought a cheap used one on ebay thinking it was steel but it ended up being aluminum so he couldnt weld it. He just wanted me to ask around if anybody knows if they ever made them out of steel.

As far as I know they were all aluminum.
