450r case exchange

welp. i've broken a case b4 and now i just broke another one today. the first one i took to someone for them to do. now i want to get inside and do it myself. have any of ya'll done one before. its the left side case. i'm a fairly good mechanic. but how difficult is this procedure??

It's not hard at all, as long as you take your time. Have a clean work area, and a place to put all the bolts and parts that you take off. A manual would not be a bad idea. It tells you which bolts require lock-tight or just a coat of oil.

The hardest part really is getting the old case halfs apart. After that, it's all downhill.
