starting problems!!

i have a 03 660 with 710 bore, and it has a high tourque starter put in it, and the starter works fine, but when i hit the botton, the starter will turn over but not the motor, i tore it apart and all of the gears will turn over all the way down to the crank, what would be the reason that it will not start it? the quad will run if it is pulled, would it be the starter clutch?

When the starter clutch goes it will sound like its starting but the engine will not be turning just the starter, you can here it. Sounds like that is your problem though. I think im have starter relay problems. with a 660 also. We changed my buddies starter clutch in one day, i think its a pain in the arse but can be done by yourself.

sounds like the one way to me, and yes you will need a flywheel puller for this and atleast a 12 pack :p i would send you my manual but i kind of need it from time to time so... instructions (http://www.raptorstarterclutch.com/installation.htm)
