hey all i need some help, im getn my yoshi pipe fitted tomorow to my 08 ds450x and the dealer said that in order to fit it they need to re map the computer for it to run the yoshi pipe properly, does this sound true or am i getn ripped off?? ive already cut the pink wire. i thought that with the mufflers they just bolt on and way you go. just to save confusion its not a full system, just muffler.

In no way would I think they should remap the computer.
Ask them what they want to remap. It might be worth it if they plan to adjust the temperature for the limp mode, but that is the only adjustment I would let them make.

A programmer or FMI module wouldn't hurt but by no means should you HAVE to have it with the pink wire cut.

you would find it would probably run better if they did. I remap mine everytime i put a different exhaust tip in my motorworks pipe. Will stop the bike from running to rich.

a bit of a mix up so it seems, what they ment by the remapping was the pink wire cut, which ive done so its all good. i hope this pipe sounds good.

It looks like youve got the spark arrestor core pulled out which helps the bottom end a huge amount! Still better w/ it in, but huge improvement with it out.
