im thinking of puting a yz426 motor on a 400 chassis. im jus wondering how difficult it is to do and is it cheaper than building a 426 honda motor. i would appreciate your advice. thank you

The 426 bike motor is a whole nother beast. The 426 is a dohc liquid cooled motor. But IMO if i were to do a swap i would put a bike motor into it. Something preferably like a crf450 or a kxf motor for something different.

I heard that yz426 motor makes some awesome power.

i put a yz400f motor bored to a 426, mild port and polish, yz450f decompression cam, kibble white valves and valve springs in my old 400ex chassis and it down right ripped. it is by fare easier to moddify than a crf motor or kxf motor. however i bought a fairly decked out 450r at the end of summer and started to part out my hybrid. i ran a yfz450 radiator and coolant over flowbottle. I kept my motor with intensions of building a 250r geometry hybrid in the future however i need a new vehicle and some shocks for my 450r so it must go. if your are interested im sure i could h ook you up with front motor horns a motor carb wireign, kick start extention etc. if ur interested drop me a pm. i need this stuff gone.
