mojave reverse problem

well i just had my mojave rebuilt for my wife. once they got it together they tried to fix the reverse lock out with a cable. well we found out the shaft is broken. so in order to fix the case would have to be split. money i dont have. anyway, you can shift from first directly into reverse. my wife will be riding this. does anyone know what will happen if she acidently shifts into reverse while driving forward. will ot only strip reverse. is there a way i can disable the reverse. thanks for any help.

Sounds like you are going to have to open it back up and fix the shift paw. Go to www.cycleworksracing.net and ask greg he is the mojave guru.

well i already spent way to much. its a 99 model. im just gonna let her ride it like it is for now. she doesnt race. only trail rides on our farm. just wanted to know what would happen if she ever did down shift into reverse. shes been riding it fine for now.
