What is best motor for 90 mod.

We currently run a cr85 motor in our mod. My dilemma is should i build the honda motor ro switch to another brand motor? Does anyone know the hp numbers people are getting out of these motors. Iknow the honda motor is virtually indestructable. Any info would be great.

You should call Tom at kids on quads, they have been doing 90 mods for a number of years, and have had a lot of success with them. I think he is in michigan too. 616-363-1215

I went with Honda. These things make plenty of power, are very reliable and parts are easy to get. They have been proven as great motors for the mods. Most people use them so if you did happen to have a problem someone an the track would most likely have the parts to help you out. Every 90 mod National Championship in MX ot TT that I'm aware of for the last several years was won with a CR85 engine. Why are you thinking about changing?
