450R stock shocks for XC use?

I am considering putting 450R stock take off shocks on my 250R for XC/trail riding. I know they fit but I would like some feedback on how well or not these shocks work off road in stock form. How about with the dual rate softer spring kit?

they work great. turn the compression to full soft and rebound mess around with it. Preload I left just 3 threads showing but I ride more than just trails. Actually last ride I adjusted my shocks to rebound faster and have more compression. I think I have 2.75 turns out from soft on compression and 3 turns out on rebound for the front 450r shocks. They were too soft for slammin the whoops at high speed and jumping. Stock 400ex shocks work great in trails but if there are whoops i know i can bottom stock shocks out over whoops

havent riden them stock but got gt thunder duals with rebuilt rear and xc link and they run great ur gonna wanna get it all rebuilt and setup up right for them to fully work well

did you get the high flow pistons in your shocks or no?
