Need some help...

I have to make a decision on a quad this weekend. Both are 88' 250Rs with the same equivellant a-arms, swing arms, axles, steering stems, etc. One is bored to a 265 and one is stroked to a 265 which would you prefer?

Stroked would probly be more dependable..

But bored is easier for people to port.

I don't know which way to go, butI think I would lean towards the bored because it is a little simpler to maintain.

i personally would preferr the stroker 265 as apposed to the one thats bored..... for all practical reasons tho it really depends on how the stroker is set up. there are different ways to setup a stroker but the best way is using the spacer plate. how is the one that you are looking at done?

From what I can tell so far, there are differing opinions on this issue. I guess I will just have to make a decison and I hope I did right.

Well, I would lean towards the stroker because it sounds like it has a newer crank in it. and the rest has to be built to compansate for the stroker crank. ask if the bored out 250 has a fresh bottom end in it.
