250x kickstarter ????

Please help with my kickstarter.I can't get it to return,I put everything new on the shaft according to the honda shop manual and it still dont work.Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

It does not sound like you have the return spring engaged in the casing in the right location. There is a place in the back in the case where the spring hooks to cause the spring to tighten when you kick it and return it when you remove your foot. The honda service manual shows and tell you about hooking the spring in the location.
