im not really what he means about valve lapping.

Looks like a fixer-up'r. The lapping comment means the valves probablt aren't seated correctly. I'd wager the head needs some work. Probably ok to buy if your sending it off for new valves, port & polish etc. But, I would not use as-is.

See if GDH Racing on e-bay has one. He usually has decent stuff and is completely honest about what you are getting.
