Temp Light Comes on After Restart?

2007 air cooled drr50;
After riding for a while, stopping, and then starting again the temperature light comes on and then will flicker, there is no way the engine is too hot is there? (stopping for 10-15 minutes)
Is the sensor bad?

Air cooled has no temp light. That would be a low oil light, check your injector tank,or if premixing unplug it.

Thanks, the injector tank was a little low; added some oil, light went out! If I eliminate the injection tank, should i just diconnect the sensor light?

Yes. Also make sure to block off the line from the pump to the intake to avoid sucking air and creating a lean condition.
