i just read that the 2002 crf450 timing chain worked on the 400ex?? is this true?? and the other question. i just bought some 450r shock's for my 400ex a couple months back and love but i'm looking to get wider a-arms. but here is the real question. should i get +1 +2's or +2 +3'?? or just +0 +1's?? my 450r shock's keep me to far off the ground and i don't wanna sacrafice suspension travel. so i am going for a-arms. plus i want to be wider. lol cause i have to let the front end keep up with my big axle. the 450r carb? hear people doing this to there 400ex's? how hard is it and what has to be done?? and does it really help that much?? and handle bar's?? what bend do you reccomend for mx or xc ??

idk about the timing chain but i think it does work, as for a-arms, i've never heard of any of the sizes you posted, its usaually +1/+0, +2/+1, or +3...., best for you would probly be +2/+1 just to give you a bit more width to match ur axle.....and i would read the HOW TO at the top of this forum about the carb.... hope this helps..

how wide is your rear? you said big axle is it longer or just a stock length replacement? try and make your front end match the width of your rear.

well yeah i became aware of my mistake on the a-arm width after posting but did have time to fix it sorry :(. and it is a +2 or +4 adjustable g-force axle.
