i just bought a set of laeger a arms and they have a fork on the bottom arm and i know it goes on the spindle but im not sure how. oh by the way these are going on a 400 are the spindles the same?

Please clarify this or post a picture. What do you mean by fork.... if you're talking about what I thinking, it's a T-pin front end and you'd need the spindle that comes with the arms.

If so, you have protrax arms and if you don't have the spindles are SOL.
Nobody sells just the spindles and if you don't have a set, you'll likely have to buy a complete protrax = big $$$ or new spindles which go for $900 each.

also you need the stem for a pro-trak also, very different tie-rods and ends.
