JUst found a 2007 MXR 90 for 1600.. problems? need info ASAP

I just found a 2007 MXR 90 with less then 5 hours on it..Not even a scratch on the ATV, It was too fast for them. I can get it for $1600 .. It was purchased in November of 2007.. Is there a any significant difference that is worth twice that price.
My son wants to race next year so I dont want something with a ton of issues.

What problems can I expect? I heard something about gear problems... Need help quick.. The ATV will be gone by tomorrow night.

You cant go wrong. That one probably has all the tranny upgrades based on when it was purchased. We have the same quad and no problems at all after 1 full season of racing.

Yeah thats a good deal i would buy it, Like said it should have all the trans upgrades done, I just bought a 06 MXR100 used and it was well taken care of with a ton of extra parts. If you are gonna race it you are probably going to want to go thru the clutch and variator and add some different components.

I will be ordering a 2009 DRX 90 beginning of next week.

Sorry was going to reply back with his phone number.. He was a friend of mine.. AS soon I told him I wasgetting a DRR instead he sold it immediatley for that price. Kind of wish now I grabbe dit up for that price for my nephew.
