Would this equal out?

Right now I have 22 inch tires on my 250x, if i put 20 in. on there how much top speed would I lose? And if i went 1 tooth bigger on the front sprocket would that give me more top speed? So if I do both these things would it equal out? Thx

I would say that you would lose maybe 3-5 mph. Yes one tooth bigger on the front sprocket would give you more top speed. And yes, if you went to 20's and one tooth larger on the front sprocket it would bring it very close to stock gearing. You most likely wont even be able to tell the difference.

So by going to the 20's from 22's, you lose top speed? What do you gain from by going to the 20's? (i.e.20x11x9)
