View Full Version : Those with 500's tell me if this is normal

The feed house from my oil tank has a kink in it. Is this normal/acceptable?

I am just afraid of my engine being starved for oil.

it doesnt really look kinked but it does look twisted

Ditto, also squeeze the hose. If it feels soft then I would suggest changing it.

It is dimpled inward where it bends. I don't think it can be twisted since it and the lines are all one piece.

You can squeeze the hose.

My question is though, if there was an oil flow issue would an oil light show on the insrument panel?
Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy a new hose. ????

could you slightly bend one of the metel sections to take the dimple out ? just a thought.

I tried but the dimple reamined.
Fortunately for me, my quad is still under warranty.
So, I replaced it for free. I guess after 2 years, the hose just developed a crease in it.
The new hose does not bend inward as the old one does.

Problem solved! :)

its a one peice hose but if someone removed one side of it and turned it before clamping it down (with the other side tight) it would def fold esp since its turning anyways but glad you got it fixed
