We just got a race ready predator 90 and I put a new plug in it and burned yellow. Ive never seen this color before. Is this ok. I tried to go up on jets and it stuttered so I went back to start and tried lowering clip on needle and it run way black and kept stuttering. It seems to run fine where it is but plug color makes me worry. Any advice would be great

Chances are its just the fuel additive that makes that color. We run ours with very little color -that took abit to get used to running it that way, seemed wrong. lol
But we found that the more we tried to get the color most of us are used to seeing the worse it ran but again, it depends on the fuel your using.
Whats in it?
WE have had that color before and it was fine.

I've found that the oil used can make a huge difference in color.
My personal favoruite is TORCO GP-7 (torcousa.com) Klotz R-50 is another good oil.
I ran 927 and never had a good plug color. Used the Torco and ran a perfect shade of brown.
It may make a difference if you mix your fuel with pump gas and get the octane down where it belongs. (105)
I doubt your running high enough compression to demand 113.

I dont need 113 its just easy to get. My brother drag races cars and I buy it from him. We have another 90 and we run the same thing and usualy get a good brown color out of it. Its just kind of weird.

If we are running to high of octane could that hurt performance or any thing else. Also Im wondering how to figure out octane when mixing gas.

A 50/50 mix of 92/93 octane and 113 comes close to 105 octane. That's what I think is good enough.
I ran Torco 104 octane. :)
