hey, i got the carb on last night, and i can feel just a little bit of stumbling in the low end( right when you hit the throttle)
do i just need to turn out the pilot screw half a turn or so? and, is the pilot screw that little screw in front of the main jet? do you have to take off the float bowl to get to it?

Is that stumble when you're riding the bike or just revving it in neutral?

it just needed to adjust the pilot screw out a little. It stumbles a bit in nuetral, but i read that it is normal for it to do that. i am really impressed with what this carb did for my quad

It's unbelieveable how we have the same taste. My question is was there a big increase with the 39MM FCR over just the pipe? I ordered my 39 yesterday and can't wait. Oh, I put the Sparks pipe on last week and haven't even had the chance to see what difference it made except for a quick blast down the road. How do you like your newfound power over stock?

Do you have a stock bore - just wondering what your jetting was for your set up ( main jet, what position is the clip on on the needle, and what size pilot jet)? Thanks

That carb will always stumble when revved hard in neutral. When you stab the throttle in neutral the engine take a huge gulp of air and in effect leans out the fuel mixture for just a second until the accelerature pump can catch up. This should only happen in neutral if your bike does this when ridden in any gear you need to turn the fuel screw out 1/2 of a turn but if you get it out more than 2 1/2 turn and it still has a bobble when ridden you need to give the bike more accelerator pump by bending the rod to a straighter angle.

when i put my 39mm FCR on alls i can say is......WOW! Its scary how much more RAW power u gain with that thing! I kept thinking that my clutch was slipping, but here it was just wheel spin when i would land on it in 3rd gear. its UNREAL!

i have a stock bore, and all i did to the carb for jettin was turn out the pilot screw a turn or so, and that put her dead on. I am very impressed with the power gains. VERY NICE. Maryland400ex, i hope ya like it, I love mine
