View Full Version : Shipping a frame?? HOLY S**T

Pappy someone help, i sold a frame and ups wants $134 shipped one way??? Doesn't matter if boxed or shrink wraped. I have shipped frames to people not even that round trip. Hell I shipped a quad to my kid in fla. fully loaded for $250. Am I doing something wrong???

i went trough dhl to ship a yfz frame. cost me 34 and change. Just put a piece of cardboard across top tubes. Dhl picked it up to. they charge like 3 bucks for pick up and 3 for something els or some bullcrap

i know even a inch effects $60-$100 in cost, i literally trimmed 2 inches off the front and 1 off the top of the box and the cost dropped from $89 down to $46

Make sure you remove the subframe if possible to shorten the length. Makes a big difference!

DHL all the way. $36 halfway across the country to Pappy in two days!

amen to that!. mine went from NJ to cali. On 2 of my frames to. both where about the same price.

shipping has went up dramatically. I just shipped a lonestar axle a month ago through UPS and it cost me $84

yea DHL is the best for shipping a frame hands down, i think my 250r frame was around $55 or so, and thats only because the subframe cant be removed, you should be able to ship a frame for under $40 with removable subframe easily

i work at a warehouse where I have to ship all the packages and we always use fed ex the way they do there dimensional wieght its cheaper then UPS we really never used DHL i dont know if theres a reason for that but thats my $.02

shipped frame fed ex today $30 Little less sence wade works there.

Thanx guys, went from $124 to $30 better in my pocket
