It wasn't just me thinking that this season has flown by! 2 rounds remain in the series as we prepare for the season end at Ironman.
The weather at the track is excellent, and it shouldnt be as dusty as last season as the area recieved rain mid week.
Bill Ballance is poised to claim his 9th championship if he can grab a win at tomorrows race and there are plenty of XC1 riders who will do all they can to prevent that!
I arrived late at the track due to some work with another rider, but everyone was settled in and kicking back as the day came to a close.

Track workers were busily getting everything wrapped up as the last rays of sunshine warmed the track. It should be a nice cool evening that will give us some of the best racing weather since Florida!

Jarrod McClures pit was alive and kicking as everyone relaxed. Jarrod is primed to get up front and back on the podium!

Registration was packed but then thinned out, making for an enjoyable wait in short lines!

Santo Derisi will be back in competition this round after suffering injuries from a severe wreck at a local race several weeks ago. We wish Santo the best as he climbs back aboard his machine and does battle once again in the XC1 Pro ranks!
Santo spent today getting in some seat time with WORCS Pro racer, Tim Shelman

Shelman flew in from his home in Seattle to be part of tomorrows race. After watching him ride, he should not only do well, but he should have a ton of fun which is right up his alley!

It really shows how much our sport is growing as east and west coast racers put in the efforts to travel cross our great country to compete. Good luck Tim, your in for one hell of a ride and about to spend 2 of the most thrilling and fun hours of your life racing in the GNCC series!

Shelman will be pitting with Derisi, so if you get online this evening and are going to attend the event, be sure to stop by and give him a shout out!
Thats all I have for now, Monica will pick up the live coverage in the morning around 9:30 so tune in to get some updates!

I would like to send a special thanks to Pappy for all the photo "love" and going out of his way on friday. Moto-X- Nutrition flew me and my wife(Maria) out and Santo Derisi put a bike together for me and David with ATV Insider gave us a place to ride and hang out. EVERYONE welcomed us with open arms to make the trip way more than we could have imagined. The Pro's in the pits and on the line were all very cool guys shaking my hand with a smile and not putting up a "front". I was honored to be a part of the GNCC "family". The staff, racers and spectators were all very polite and it had a good "small town home" feel. The WORCS series is similar with the people but the course is very different, the dead engine start killed me. All the racers in the pro class are some talented and fast guys, and I loved every minute of the weekend. It was a dream of mine to race a GNCC for a long time I was not disappointed. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

Hey Tim, it was Cody and mines pleasure to get some shots of you. Had a great time seeing Christian and meeting you and the wife! I am so sory I did not get to chat with you before or after the race, but I am running all over so time is short:p
Hope you made it home safe and good luck out there, and hopefully we will see you back east racing soon again!
