i ride a 400ex at the monent and need an upgrade. my local dealer has a sale going on for can am products and the 08ds450x is going for 4800 i was wondering if u thought that i should go that way or find a cheaper used450 and mod it up a lil

No wonder we have to sell our race quads so cheap if people are selling new DS for 4800

Right! Blue books $6000 for the base model. I'm trying to sell mine.

Dutchess Rec is selling the standard DS for $4899. The DS450X was $5599... I say was because I just bought the last DS450X they had. Smoking deals w no set/up delivery fees. Only Tax and DMV fees.

ya dutchess rec is where im looking. they still have a few left. being that i used to work there i can take the floor model that there not supposed to sell lol. also i hear that they have a problem with overheating and was wondering if anyone has had a problem with this for normal trail riding and/or gncc type racing.supposed to over heat cause the radiator is in the front of the bike and it gets cloged with mud and other crud.

hay blizzard how is the power of the bike in the woods? i hear ppl saying that the low end power isnt there compared to the other 450s but i havent seen anything bout how it compares to the 400. was just wanting to make sure that part is an upgrade :)

the bottem end is really sucky stock, with the pink wire modd it feels like it gains 3x power in the bottem end, top end nothing pulls harder then the ds =]

I pick it up the end of this week so I am not sure yet. I am hearing the low end is pretty bad but we shall see. I will be racing XC with it so if the low end is too weak the pink wire will be cut and a slip-on and lid removed should give me what I need.
