i want to put a scooped hood on my 04 450, but i trail ride alot so i want to keep my lights. whats the best set up for hood and lights? i wont be doing this for awhile cause i gotta get rims but i need to start looking at prices. thanks

I'm not sure if it's possible to put a scooped hood on the 04 and 05's because of the headlight design. I know the 06's and up can have an aftermarket hood and keep the headlights. I've seen people put trail tech lights inside of fullbore front plastic, but other than that, be creative I guess. Unless someone else has done something and hasn't chimed in yet.

i was hopin i could put the hood and the trail tech bar mount lighhts, but they dont make them for a 450

I have a scooped hood for my 05 and still have my stock headlight. I ordered it from quad tech a few months back. Here's a link to their site http://quadtech-atv.com/pages/products/hlt6-h1.html I know this one is for a 06-07, and really dont know why they dont have the one for ours anymore, but I do know that mine fits fine.

i'm thinkin about doing the same thing. getting a different hood and a set of trail tech handlebar lights. i had the trail techs on my 400 and loved em. they really brightened things up over the stock lights

I want the same thing, but that's the first one I've seen and I'm not a big fan on the vents. I'm planning on fiberglassing my own. Not sure when I'll have time though.

i have an 05 bike with 08 plastic.the 04-05 light will work with the 08 hood with very minor trimming on the bottom edge. i now have a maier scooped hood and im sure it will work also with the same minor trimming. ill be finding out soon as winters coming!:D
