im rebuilding the topend. got a new gasket for where the cylinder meets the crank case. should i hone the cylinder? new rings or reuse? how do i get the piston back into the cylinder without disconecting the rod from the piston?

im also looking for a pipe that works good with a 426 11:1 piston

Make sure your rings are stagered on the piston as well. I did the same thing as Justin mentioned and it works good just take your time and its good if you have another person hold the head while you push the rings in.

Id get new rings while its apart. Never really a good idea to reuse them. you could reuse the piston if its in good shape. Id also hone or at least scotchbrite the cylinder while your at it.
