I have a 300ex I am 11 years old and i don't have a lot of money. I make $1.50 an hour working with my dad. I would like to widen my quad for stability. I am not a racer but I don't want to roll either. What a arms for can I use that are good but cheap. What shocks work good besides Elka and works. I need something cheap.Should I look for yfz or 450r or z400shocks or what . What stock shocks work well for the rear of a 300?
Thanks for any help
Tony

i'm guessing you don't have money for aftermarket a-arms, so stock 400ex a-arms would be your best choice.

if you buy a shock relocator, stock 400ex shocks, stock 400ex a-arms, and 400ex tie-rods you'll be able to widen your quad about an inch and a quarter on each side (+1.25"). KOQ Racing (kids on quads) makes a shock relocator for very cheap compared to other companies. i believe they're 75 shipped.

for the rear, the only other stock bolt up option, that i know of, is the 2001 660 raptor shock. i've heard the internal parts go bad after awhile but once rebuilt or whatever it runs better than when you first put it on

if you dont want to spend alot of money you could just buy a set of a arm widiners off ebay. would work fine for what you are looking for!

400ex shocks work the best butyou need to have the tierods to go along with it like mentoned earlier but for shocks you are goin to need to get a shock rolocater kit to highten to recieve the new shocks i did this on one of my buddies 300exs and it worked great you can use 400ex shocks 450r shocks and if you do a little modification with 2 extra 3/8th inch plates you can also use yfz 450 shocks i used them because they seemed to be softer than stock r shocks but either will work and for the rear i dont think there is any shock that wii bolt straight up to it you can bolt on a 450r swing arm on and use a stock rear shock

Yea, id go with the stock 400ex front end with diamond j customs shock relocator so it can take 400ex / 450r shocks.

THE 400EX REAR AXLE WILL NOT WORK IN THE 300EX WITHOUT ALOT OF TINKERING.
