Is anyone running the ftz full drag ignition? If so how well do you rate the ftz against the cr? Ftz tells me its a 6 - 8 hp gain and is night and day, but I may just be getting the sales pitch. Any info would sure help.

i think the only difference is that with the ftz you can advance your timing. Why are you selling the esr setup? i doubt that has anything to do with your bike overheating.

Esr is sending me a new dome that they say will cure my overheating issue. As for the ignition I was talking with the guys at ftz and he was telling me that the cr ignition was more for moto x and xc. He also said that if all I am doing is duning and dragging that I am not gaining much having the cr ignition, he said the ftz ignition was built for topend power with dragging in mind. I dont know though

I love my cr ignition, with the smaller flywheel it winds up pretty fast,it would be good for drag imo.it comes in handy for those hills without much run as well, hill shooting is where i spend 75% of my time riding.:)

I have a ftz and like it you can adjust your timing ene way you like. Your over heating do you think you might have the wrong pipe

I dont know I am looking to get the trx11 centermount. I am going to try trx11 with dome I have now, if that dont work I am going to try it with the new dome esr is sending me.

you can get a msd cdi for the cr ignition that is programable and has the holeshot feature like the ftz

So when you buy this do you buy the cdi for the trx or the cdi for the cr? did you do this and did you buy just the cdi or the whole setup?
