hey guys i'm indecisive about what to do about my quad, i've done quite a bit to my 300 (mods in sig). i duno what to do, weather to sell it and cut my losses cuz i know the 300s arent worth much but one i dont know how much mines worth or how much i would even get out of it. sec option would be to see if sombody would come along and trade for a 400 or somthin but i know thats a long shot. thrid option would be to put more money into it as in plastics and engine and stuff. any input would be apreciated thanx guys you've always been a ton of help. later.

As a note.. if you're looking for a 400ex.. you have a LOT of parts that will transfer to the new quad.

ya i know and i have all my stock stuff only problem i have is i dont have the stock shocks for the 300 or i would put it all back to stock and sell it for like 1500 or somthin and save all my fancy parts and put them on the new bike but in order to get the 400 i have to sell it w/ the good parts to get the money or make it worth tradin for a 400 so i'm in one hell of a pickle haha. i guess if i could make the 300 motor make enough HP to run w/ my bros 400 then i'd just keep it and do that cuz i really like the size of my quad it just feels not fast enough sometimes. sooo i duno what i'm gonna do. does anybody know if the FST 380/390 kit is reliable i've been told they arent but i duno for sure.

380/390 wouldn't be nearly as reliable as a 400ex. It also would never be as strong as a modified 400ex. 400ex simply has different engine technology.

You can get stock 300ex shocks pretty cheap. I'm sure someone on here has some old ones they'd unload fairly cheap.

There's going to be very little sale value between a modified 300ex and a bone stock 300ex. It's unfortunate, but it's a fact. Generally a stock quad sells easier too. A stock quad it though to have a lot less wear and tear on it than a modified atv.. wich generally is true.

right on ya thats what i figued well mabey i'll just wait to see if i get any bites on it and if i dont then i'll keep it and make it a 350 and just have fun w/ it. as long as i'm not puttin money into it its not costin me anything but lets face it once ya start doin stuff to them its hard to stop doin stuff to them. so i guess only time will tell.

Sell the engine. Put in a 350X engine. We did that to my neighbors 250X. The 350x engine we got for it was worked over. Man that thing hauls.

you could always keep all your parts for a 400 and part the rest of it out, parts bring a whole lot more seperate then they do together. i've actually made money on race bikes parting them out. wish you the best good luck
