the only problem is that they didn't take the plugs out of the left case.. i asked them to since i didn't have the tools at school and i forgot to do it at home... anybody know how i can get it to break free without chipping it?

Just install the covers and then remove the inspection plugs. You should be ok.....but they should have been removed before they coated them

thanks for chiming in pappy, i was hoping you would. im kinda concerned about the o rings too.. although the engine gets hot itself. i'll just see how it works tomorrow evening! i wish i would have gotten the exhaust end cap coated in trans or candy red. the tip is staying the aluminum color.

well you need to get the inspecton plugs out and make sure no grit from prep is hiding there and that the oil rings are intact and werent damaged. You run sanding grit through the engine and you wont be happy. this is why we disassemble everything here for people that dont know atvs/motorcycles etc.

these are going to have to get a good cleaning before they're put back on. theres sand in little crevices everywhere. :o oh well, it'll give me something to do haha.

thanks everybody.

honda#4- its been way too long lol. maybe 4 years? the engine has been about 2 years and the head needs some touching up, but it'll eventually get sent to pappy for moly coating. the cases were pc'ed because i kept spilling gas on them :o .. the frame will also go gloss black when i get some more $$.

Ruby Soho- the shocks are much better after i loosened the a arm mounts that my gorilla of a brother tightened. im going to get some nyloc nuts for them so i don't need to worry about them backing off. i think they're still going to be a little bit soft for my tastes though. we'll see on my next ride!
