I was doing some work at my parents' house today and saw this group of gobblers. They hung around for almost an hour before a truck driving by finally chased them off. All hens except one jake. The toms have been hanging out down the road about a half mile. My parents have been seeing this group for sure a couple times a week. There are no tags left in my unit for the fall hunt either!! The closest they got was within 5 feet of the house. There were 25 in all.

Nice flock! My wife and I sat and watched a flock of 13 infront of my neighbors pond this morning, I sure wish they would find their way to me:p

We have Thanksgiving this upcomming weekend .... I wouldn't mind one of those suckers sitting on the table right next to the mashed potatoes and veggies. :devil:

They are mighty tasty, I got one this spring (not from my parents) and it didnt last too long in the freezer. I wish I didnt have such good morals, one of those would taste mighty good tonight! They just came back out into the field from the woods and were sunning themselves.
